Barenia is a rare, high-quality calf leather. It requires a specific tanning process known only by a small number of skilled craftsmen. Our Barenia is double-tanned and then soaked in a mix of 9 different oils over a 6 weeks process. It has an incredibly smooth exterior, with just a hint of gloss, and its oil-absorbing material causes it to patina over time, which is a quality that the leather is famous for.

- Avoid Moisture: Barenia leather is susceptible to water damage. If it does get wet, let it air dry naturally.
- Clean with a Soft Cloth: To remove dust and dirt, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface of the leather. Avoid using excessive force, as it can scratch or damage the leather.
- Store Properly: When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. To prevent the strap from creasing, you can also store it flat or coiled loosely.
- Avoid Contact with Harsh Substances: Keep your Barenia leather strap away from chemicals, perfumes, and cosmetics, as they can damage the leather.
Remember that Barenia leather develops a natural patina over time, which is part of its charm and character. Proper care can help maintain the leather's appearance and ensure that it continues to look its best.
